Meet Sonja den Elzen the creator and founder:

Drawing inspiration from nature and travel.

After 18 years in the fashion industry, in 2012 Sonja went through a life transformation immersing herself in the world of wellness, and was looking for stylish and ethical clothing to match her yoga lifestyle. Using her fashion know-how, she developed Zen Nomad, an ethical, luxury meets comfort, apparel line.

Loving to live in sync with the elements, Sonja can often found wandering (when she able to escape the city) in the forest, mountains or by the ocean taking in the sights, sounds and atmosphere. To cultivate this connection with nature brings balance into her everyday life and nurtures a deep respect for all that nature gifts us with. She feels passionate about finding ways to move in a co creative relationship with all life.

This passion is a driving force behind Zen Nomad and she feels that clothing should be mindfully made, considering the planet, the people who make the garments and the ones who wear them. So ethical, sweatshop free manufacturing is a vital part of the business as is beautifully fitting garments that are designed to love the body they are on.

Sonja is also a yoga and meditation instructor and zen shiatsu practitioner, modalities embodying a connected, holistic lifestyle.  Through her retreats and workshops, she uses her peaceful, integrative approach to life to create experiences that nurture self-empowered wellness.
